Stay on the Vine
Jesus is teaching his disciples one last time during the Passover meal. He tells them many things and now he reveals he is the true vine and God is the gardener. For the disciples, and thus the church, they must reside in him. They cannot be fruitful if they do not. The people of Israel have been called a vine before that God has planted in the land called Israel. But they turned away from him to follow the ways of other nations and became a wild branch. To faithfully persist in life and be fruitful, we must remain in Christ.
