Seeing Through a New Lens
Jesus asks a question to Simon the Pharisee, “Do you see this woman?” Jesus sees people through a spiritual lens. The Pharisee sees the woman through a lens of judgement and condemnation. We are to be imitators of Christ and see people through the lens of the Holy Spirit, which goes deeper into the character and heart of the person. Jesus looks beyond the person’s situation in life and restores them to the community of God. How do you see people?
