Comfort in Destitution
Life comes at us fast these days. Our path many times seems rocky; our experiences are sometimes tough. So it is, that we are challenged to navigate the uneven ground and the rough places of the world today. This week, the proclamation of John the Baptist on the Second Sunday of Advent reminds us of the hope and the promise that, even on the rough terrain of life, as we make straight the path for God into our hearts we are comforted by the steadfast love of Jesus Christ.
