The Kingdom of God Has Come Near
If we want to understand Jesus—really understand what he lived for, what he died for, and what he rose again to proclaim—we must start with the Kingdom of God. It’s the heart of it all. But what is this Kingdom? Is it a place? A future hope? A spiritual reality? The answer is yes, and more. The Kingdom of God is God’s reign breaking into our world through Jesus. It’s the world as God intends it to be—where grace is greater than power, love is stronger than hate, and the least are lifted up.
