In our scripture reading Jesus goes to the Mount of Olives to pray as he prepares to follow God’s will even to the cross. We are told this was Jesus’ custom, to go to pray in the garden when he visited Jerusalem. From his prayer in Gethsemane, we see Jesus’ trust in God affirmed when he prays, “…yet, not my will but yours be done.” When have you let go of your own will for God’s will to be done in your life?
