Jesus takes Peter, James, and John to a high mountain, the traditional place for special revelation. A voice comes from the cloud telling them Jesus’ identity as God’s Son and to listen to him. In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus goes up a mountain again and this time all his disciples come to him, and he begins to teach them about people who are truly blessed. Are you listening to Jesus?
