We exercise hope in relation to that which lies ahead of us, in the still invisible future. We all have hope in something or someone. We may hope even when the situation seems hopeless. Paul commends hope rooted in Christ. Our hope, no matter how small, is always in good hands with God in Christ Jesus. Such hope is affirmed again and again by strangers, and by Christ himself.
