Jesus shares a parable of a farmer sowing seed in a field. Four different kinds of soil are mentioned upon which the seeds fell. Jesus wants the disciples and people to know that if we bend our minds to find the meaning of the word of God, if we accept it in such a way that it becomes an intricate part of our very being, if we hold fast to it at all times and in all places, it will enable our lives to bring forth wonderful fruits.
