Jesus Christ is God’s chosen “Living Stone”, which the Jewish religious leaders rejected, and is now the cornerstone of God’s church. Peter shares this metaphor of a stone that has been dressed or cut and sits ready for incorporation into a building. Christ is our example to follow. We too, are chosen and called to be “living stones” for Christ in this world, embodying unconditional love to all we meet.
