Giraffe Center
After lunch we visited the Giraffe Centre. The Giraffe Centre was created by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, to protect the Rothschild Giraffe, a subspecies of the giraffe found only in the grasslands of East Africa. While there we fed the giraffes and learned a bit about the conservation efforts.

Animal Orphanage
Our final stop was at the Animal Orphanage in Nairobi National Park. It provides a safe haven and medical care for orphaned, injured, and abandoned animals before they are released back into the wild. There we saw a wide variety of indigenous Kenyan wildlife in enclosures where they receive professional care.
We saw lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, serval cats, baboons, various monkeys, buffalo, and warthogs. We were warned about the aggressiveness of the baboons who wandered freely on the grounds, so we carried no snacks.
