Description:

Our 3’s classes are here to introduce children to an organized school setting in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.  Students will learn, work, and play in both individual and groups settings.  Teachers help guide students as they learn to navigate friendships and playing with others.

The curriculum at Bradley Preschool is shaped by the Indiana Early Learning Foundations.  The foundations are a collection of continuums that were created by the state of Indiana to be utilized by teachers, parents, and caregivers as they guide children through the progression of their development from birth through kindergarten.  Bradley Preschool students begin in the 3’s and 4’s classes by working with the “Younger Preschool” foundations and then move on to the pre-k classes that work with the “Older Preschool” foundations as they prepare to enter kindergarten.

The 3’s classes give an introduction of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, as well as work on developing scissor skills, correct pencil grip, and pre-writing skills. Students also begin to understand classroom rules and expectations such as sitting still and listening during story time, walking in a line, hand washing, bathroom etiquette, and using inside voices.

Students will have the opportunity to enjoy free play time during their preschool day. A wide variety of toys are available to spark your child’s imagination and allow them to play independently or in a group. Much of your child’s social and emotional development forms during free play. Our teachers work one-on-one with children during free play on academic skills and are always in the room to monitor the students’ play.

Fun and exciting learning happens when children move their bodies! Our outdoor playground and indoor recreation room are used daily by each class to help get our kids moving!

Additional Requirements:  Children must be potty trained with minimal accidents.  Pull-ups are allowed.  Frequent accidents that disrupt other students’ learning may require your child to wait to begin preschool.

Description:

At Bradley Preschool, we like to offer this unique class option to parents of children that fit the specific age requirement as we recognize the differences between young 3-year-olds and 3-year-olds that are about to turn 4.  While the 4’s class’ days and times are on track with the pre-k classes’, the curriculum and overall purpose of the 4’s class aligns with the 3’s.

For most students in the 4’s class, this will be the first time they have been in an organized school setting.  We are here to introduce children to an organized school setting in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.  Students will learn, work, and play in both individual and groups settings.  Teachers help guide students as they learn to navigate friendships and playing with others.

The 4’s class addresses the same standards and skills as the 3’s classes, but due to their older age, we are prepared to move with the 4’s students at a faster pace with slightly more advanced activities than the 3’s classes, if they show readiness to do so.

The 4’s class gives a more in-depth introduction of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, as well as works on developing scissor skills, correct pencil grip, and pre-writing skills. Students also begin to understand classroom rules and expectations such as sitting still and listening during story time, walking in a line, hand washing, bathroom etiquette, and using inside voices.

Students will enjoy free play each day to help develop social and emotional skills. Teachers work one-on-one with students during free play on academic skills.

Pre-Kindergarten Class

Age Requirements: 4 years old by August 1, 2024

Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Times: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Cost: $1,800; paid in 10 installments of $180.00

Teacher to Student Ratio: 2 teachers per class with a maximum of 16 students per class

Description:

Our pre-kindergarten classes are here to continue to provide an organized school setting in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment as we help prepare your child to enter kindergarten the following year.  The pre-k curriculum builds on what was learned the previous year in the 3’s or 4’s classes.  In this class students will bring a lunch from home. Teachers will guide students to  use good manners while eating lunch in a group setting as well as in a timely manner.  This time helps students gain additional levels of preparedness for Kindergarten.

Students work with a variety of materials and themes to learn their letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and more. Students strive to master fine motor skills such as correct pencil grip, cutting with scissors, and beginning writing. Students also strive to master classroom rules and expectations, such as sitting still and listening during story time, walking in a line, hand washing, bathroom etiquette, using inside voices, and navigating working in groups with others.

Like our 3’s and 4’s classes, our pre-kindergarten students will have the opportunity to enjoy time for free play each day.  A wide variety of toys are available to spark your child’s imagination and allow them to play independently or in a group.
