The Wearable Christ

Every morning we choose what to wear, but Paul reminds us that the most important choice is not what we wear, but who we wear. In Romans 13:8–14, he calls us to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ” by allowing Christ’s patience, humility, compassion, courage, forgiveness, and love to become visible in our daily lives. Because the night is passing and God’s new day is dawning, we are called to lay aside the habits of darkness and live as people dressed for the morning, making the grace and love of Jesus recognizable wherever we go.
