Love Conquers All
John wants those who hear his letter to understand that both faith in Christ Jesus and loving each other are equally important. These are not two separate commands that one must keep in order to become a child of God; rather, they are two expressions of what the child of God does. Faith and love are each an expression of the work of God in a person’s new life in Christ.
