A Garment of Grace
In the scripture we recount the story of Tabitha (also known as Dorcas), a devoted disciple who was known for her good works and acts of charity, specifically in making garments for the poor. Her death prompts deep mourning in her community. Her life was so faithful, so full of love, that God responded to Peter’s prayer with resurrection. Oh, what a witness she was! Tabitha, the seamstress of hope. Tabitha, the mother of her community. And in her, we see the spirit of many mothers we know.
