CloseThis passage tells the story of Cornelius, a devout Gentile whose obedient response to God sets in motion a divine encounter with Peter—an encounter that ultimately opens the doors of the early Christian church to the Gentiles. Through their mutual obedience, both Cornelius and Peter undergo a profound transformation: Cornelius experiences the gift of salvation, and Peter's understanding of God's inclusive love is radically expanded. Their story reminds us that obedience to God is not only a personal act of faith, but also a powerful means by which God brings about greater purposes through ordinary people. Like them, we too are invited into a journey of transformation through faithful obedience.
