Christ Within Us Enables Us to Forgive
The Gospel writer of John shares a powerful story of Jesus’ compassion and forgiveness. The legal experts and Pharisees wanted to trick Jesus and catch him going against the Law of Moses. Instead, Jesus teaches them the true meaning of love. A woman caught in the act of adultery is brought before Jesus and asked what should they do to her. She is completely vulnerable, completely at risk of death. Jesus does not judge her and asks those who would condemn her if they are without sin. Christ within us enables us to be compassionate and forgiving as well and this brings us peace.
