Laura Perkowski

Laura Perkowski has lived all over! She was born in Takoma Park, Maryland. She grew up in Plano, TX & Indianapolis, IN, then finished high school in the Houston area. She moved back to Indianapolis in 2017 and lives in Castleton.

Laura obtained her BA in business from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. After college, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived and worked for six years. Laura attended Wesley UMC, a historically Japanese-American church in San Jose during her time in California, and was one of their audiovisual techs, and later tech committee chair.

Laura has worked in a variety of admin roles before working in software tech support. She did that job full-time while going to grad school for her MA In Teaching for the University of Southern California. I

Laura taught public school for two years then transitioned to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, she is a Senior Project Specialist at Syneos Health, INC, supporting clinical trial monitoring softwares at Eli Lilly.

Laura’s parents and brother all live in Texas, so she doesn’t see them a lot – she actually never spends Christmas at her home church as a result! She travels to see them. Her extended family is primarily based in Texas and California. She lives in Castleton with her cat and has a strong network of friends in the area, many of whom are extended family as well at this point!

From Laura: I most enjoy working alongside the rest of the worship team. I want to see Bradley’s congregation grow to allow for the continuance of its history for decades to come.
